Lummus Park Historic District

About the Event

Adjacent to Miami’s oldest Park, Lummus Park (named after J.E. Lummus and his brother, J.N. Lummus early Miami bankers and real estate developers), the Lummus Park Historic District is a step back into vintage Miami. Tour goers will experience the Park’s historic buildings, including the Wagner Homestead, the oldest residence in Miami, a former plantation slave house, the Scottish Rite Temple, Miami’s oldest Art Deco building, historic residences and more! Meet at Lula’s Treehouse, 401 NW 3 Street, a Dade Heritage Trust preservation project.

Tours will take place approximately every 1.5 hours, beginning at 11AM on March 2, 2024. Meet at Lula’s Treehouse, 401 NW 3 Street, a Dade Heritage Trust preservation project.

About the Host

Dade Heritage Trust, founded in 1972, is Miami’s largest historic preservation organization with a mission to preserve our community’s architectural, environmental and cultural heritage through education and advocacy.  The organization is headquartered in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood in the original 1905 Office & Surgery of Dr. James M. Jackson, one of Miami’s first physicians.
