Step inside our studio, a former speakeasy and salsa-bachata dance hall, now transformed into one of Miami’s most innovative design spaces. Join two of Miami’s leading designers, Jacqueline and Carlos Touzet, for Cafecito & Culture, an intimate tour where they’ll share how they design for the future and climate while staying deeply connected to culture and place.
Touzet Studio is excited to invite you into our newly built-out space in Little Havana for a behind-the-scenes look at our work and the story of this remarkable building. Built in 1926, the building has lived many lives: a Jewish-owned business, a Lebanese speakeasy, and later a salsa music studio. Most recently, we discovered it was also one of the key sites where the Bay of Pigs invasion was planned—making it an important part of Miami’s layered and complex history.
