Morningside Historic and Architectural Walking Tour

Enjoy a fun, fact-filled walk as Elvis Cruz, a Morningsider since 1977, guides you back in time to experience the history, architecture, and celebrity of Morningside, Miami’s First Historic District. 

You'll enjoy learning all about Morningside’s beginnings and its fabulous architecture, as well as the neighborhood's connection to famous people, including President John F. Kennedy, Mark Twain, Shirley Temple, G.W. Romer, Robert Duval, Richard Harris, Pope John Paul II, Howard Johnson, Jim Belushi, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, and others.

Rafter tails, eaves, terra cotta tile, double-hung wooden windows, textured stucco, Corinthian columns, cantilevered facades, racing stripes, and eyebrows – by the end of the tour, you’ll be just like George Costanza, who always wanted to pretend to be an architect.
