Miami’s Morningside Park has had a palmetum (a palm garden) since it was built in 1953. The tour will be chock full of interesting and fun facts about the rare palm trees in the palmetum, and how they have contributed to our history and the modern world.

Miami’s Morningside Park has had a palmetum (a palm garden) since it was built in 1953.
The tour will be chock full of interesting and fun facts about the rare palm trees in the palmetum, and how they have contributed to our history and the modern world.
Free parking along NE 55 Terrace and North Bayshore Drive. From there, walk into Morningside Park, to the south end of the palm garden, which is in the south part of the park.
Restrooms on site.
No pets, please.

The tour begins at 11 am sharp, lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. Arrive early to walk the 5 minutes from the parking area to the palm garden. Free parking along NE 55 Terrace and North Bayshore Drive. From there, walk into Morningside Park, to the south end of the palm garden, which is in the south part of the park. Restrooms on site. No pets, please. Weather contingency: Slight rain, bring a raincoat or get wet; big rain, cancellation. Please wear comfortable shoes and sun protection.
