Join us for Pedals & Planes, a guided mobile tour through the storied streets and skies of Opa-locka! Taking place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, this immersive experience invites participants to explore the city’s rich architectural heritage and aviation legacy—by bike or e-bike.
In partnership with the Barrington Irving Technical Training School (BITTS), the tour begins in historic downtown Opa-locka, home to the city’s distinctive Moorish Revival architecture, before heading to the Opa-locka Executive Airport, a site with deep roots in South Florida’s aviation history. Along the route, riders will learn about the city’s unique design origins, community landmarks, and the pivotal role Opa-locka played in early flight innovation.
